Consider the Narrator

This piece is a satirical take on essays and the faceless voice guiding the reader through the new knowledge presented throughout. It was an attempt at tackling literary fiction and writing in a more formal style than I was typically comfortable with.

Just Stand Up

Just Stand Up is a creative non-fiction essay describing some of my own experiences attempting to enter the world of Stand up Comedy within Melbourne during 2018. It was an unforgettable experience, and here I tried to capture the feelings and anxieties of preparing and finally getting up on the stage.

Untenable Costs

I was inspired to write this piece by repetitive and obsessive listening to the musical Hadestown. To spoil the story slightly, this piece is a somewhat modern retelling of the Greek tragedy of Orpheus & Eurydice.

Was it Fate?

This short fiction piece was written several years ago now but remains a favourite of mine. It was an attempt to capture the idea of small things all coalescing into something greater, akin to the butterfly effect.
